Powder Based Multi-Purpose Fire Extinguishers (MAP)

As name suggests this type of fire extinguishers are comprises of Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP). We use MAP powder as Fire Fighting Agent in this type of fire extinguishers. It can comes in two variants one is MAP 50 & Other one is MAP 90 on the basis concentration of MAP Powder. As this fire extinguisher can be used on any class of fire that is A class mean solid, B class means liquid fuel, C Class Fire means where fuel is any gas & E Class fire means electrical short circuits. CO2 type Fire Extinguishers: –

Water Type Fire Extinguishers: –

As in industrial use we have huge risk of electrical short circuit so we can not use these fire extinguishers in areas where there is chances for fire to break due to electrical short circuit. FOAM Based Fire Extinguishers: –

These fire extinguishers use Mechanical Foam as fire fighting agent, These Fire Extinguishers also known as AFFF Foam type fire extinguishers. This type of Fire Extinguishers are expert for A class & B Class of fire. As there is water in this type of fire so there is huge risk of electrocution, As in industrial use we have huge risk of electrical short circuit so we can not use these fire extinguishers in areas where there is chances for fire to break due to electrical short circuit.
