Total Suppression System –
As name suggested this system is working on complete flooding of protected area with fire fighting agents. These systems are very useful for areas like server system & data centers. As we know that a server room or data center has three area one is below false floor, above false ceiling & room area. So, we cover all three areas under this system.
We use mainly two gases in these systems which are HFC227ea & FK-5-1-12 for fighting any fire. For covering all the fire risk, we put nozzles in all three area so if there is any fire it can be suppressed by releasing gas there.
This system has mainly two parts, first is detection system which is used for detection of any fire in any area of a server room. Other part is Gas container & Pipes which used to release gas into the room to suppress fire.
Capacity of this system is depended upon the size & volume of the covered area. We take gas quantity for fire fighting according to the room size. In other word we can say that these are customized system which designed as per volume & other specifications.
