Fire Alarm System
As we know that time is a very critical factor in case of fire. So for early detection of Fire we use systems called Fire Alarm System. This system detects, alerts, and manages fire emergencies by monitoring of different type detectors like smoke, heat, & Multy Detectors Etc to ensuring occupant safety and quick response. It has two type devices that is input & output devices controlled by a Central device call Fire Alarm Control Panel.
Parts Of Fire Alarm System & Their Working –
Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP): This is “brain” of this system which controlled all the input & output devices.
Input Devices:
- Smoke Detectors:Detect Fire by detecting Smoke in any area. Working on Photoelectric or ionization Principle.
- Heat Detectors:Detect Fire by detecting heat produced by fire in any area. Working on Fixed Temp. or Rate Of Rise in Temp. Principle.
- Manual Call Points:This Device works as switch to raise Alarm Manually in case of fire detection Throw Nacked Eyes.
- Multi Detectors:This a detector which has combined working of Smoke & Heat Detectors.
Output Devices –
- This category has mainly Hooters & Sirens
Fire Alarm Systems Type On The Basis Working Principle –
- Conventional Systems:This System don’t’ have specific device address. It Indicate Zone on Panel Display. One Zone Has About 15-20 Devices.
- Addressable Systems:This system specific device address so accuracy in this system is Far Batter than Conventional System. One Can Find exact location of Fire on panel display.
Fire Alarm Systems Type On The Basis Of Connectivity –
- Wired Fire Alarm Systems: All The detectors are connected to panel throw a wire. This system is best for under construction buildings.
- Wireless Systems:In This system all the field device like Detectors & MCP’s communicate with panel wirelessly. This system is best suited for constructed & finished buildings
